Bajan Macaroni Pie

Directions

1Bring water to a boil and add macaroni elbows and salt.

2Boil uncovered until tender about eight minutes. Preheat oven to 350ºF.

3Drain the macaroni thoroughly and return to same hot saucepan and mix in the Mello Kreem.

4Mix in grated cheese with macaroni a bit at a time while still warm.

5Whisk the egg until fluffy and add milk, onion powder, white pepper, salt, pepper sauce and mustard.

6Pour in with macaroni and mix.

7Place cheesy macaroni mixture into a casserole dish greased with Mello Kreem.

8Top with cheese and breadcrumbs.

9Bake for 30 to 45 minutes until pie is golden brown.

1.5 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 cup macaroni elbows

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon Roberts Mello Kreem Spread

1 egg

2 teaspoons onion powder

1 teaspoon mustard

1 teaspoon white pepper

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon Bajan hot pepper sauce or cayenne pepper (optional)

Garnish

2 tablespoons fine breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 tablespoon Roberts Mello Kreem Spread
