Oven-Roasted Turkey

1Mix dry ingredients in a bowl then sprinkle some of the spice rub into the cavity of the turkey.

2Separate the skin from the breast meat with your fingers.

3Massage some of the rub onto the meat under the skin along with Mello Kreem.

4Sprinkle the remaining rub on the turkey’s skin.

5Set a rack at the lowest position in the oven and preheat to 325ºF.

6Fill the cavity with your favourite stuffing (optional).

7Tie legs together and tuck the wing tips under.

8Place the turkey on rack in roasting pan, drizzle turkey with oil then sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

9Cover with foil.

10Roast the turkey about 3 hours basting every 45 minutes.

11Transfer the turkey to a platter keeping foil cover on and let rest 30 minutes before carving.


14lb turkey, giblets removed, washed and dried

5 tbsp Roberts/Sunrise Soybean Oil

4 tbsp Roberts Mello Kreem Spread

2 tbsp paprika

2 tbsp onion powder

2 tsp dried thyme

2 tsp dried rosemary

1 tsp ground cayenne pepper

Salt and ground black pepper to taste
