Roberts Manufacturing Co. Limited and Pinnacle Feeds Ltd, SQF certified manufacturer of shortening, margarine, soybean oil, animal feeds and dog food, invites suitably qualified applicants for the post of PLANT ATTENDANT. The specifics for the post are as follows:
PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF JOB
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Plant Attendant to support daily operations within our refinery/processing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring equipment, regulating product flow, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring all processes are conducted safely and efficiently in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate pumps, valves, and control systems to regulate product flow.
- Monitor gauges, meters, and process indicators; report irregularities.
- Inspect equipment and pipelines; report faults and assist with maintenance.
- Record operating data and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collect product samples and assist with basic calculations.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with safety and GMP requirements.
- Support shutdowns, stock checks, and general plant operations.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- City & Guilds Plant Maintenance or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, refinery, or industrial environment would be an advantage.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of plant operations.
- Ability to read and interpret gauges, meters, and technical data.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and adhere to safety standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work shifts and in a physically demanding environment.
