Dr. Jeremy Nurse has +22 years of experience in executive management, strategy,
corporate development, transactions and board membership across several sectors
including retail, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, financial services, technology,
energy, automotive and real estate. He spent most of his career with the Massy Group
of Companies as a senior executive with key responsibilities that involved leading teams
in strategy development, business planning, new business development, international
expansion, as well as deal execution for M&A and divestiture transactions.
He graduated from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill Campus with an
undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Physics with first class honours. He holds
two Master’s degrees from Durham University and IE University, and a Doctorate in
Business Administration (DBA) from IE Business School.
Jeremy is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Sagicor Bank (Barbados)
Limited, and he is also the Chairman of Invest Barbados, the investment promotion
agency of Barbados as well as GovTech Barbados Limited, which is responsible for
digitizing government services for the citizens of Barbados.
